Alphabet Magnet Tray
The magnet tray would have letters that a child would stick on to the magnet to spell words. Letters would be metal with soft edges and painted.
Airline travelers could write messages that would be visible to the xray operator.
For convenience with placing in bags through xray machine, limit the size to approximately 5"x10".
Also, any company already distributing flat products could easily put messages inside flat objects.

Skype Add-Ons
PSTN to Skype Gateway
Service to allow people to use their phone to dial in to a phone number service that will turn on their skype account for them and allow them to IM and call their buddy list, even if the buddies are only on a computer without a phone number.
PSTN --gateway--> skype buddies
Gateway access would need to be previously configured and for ease of use have authentication.
The market is people who use skype who have a cell phone that is not a smartphone. Probably a small market that is shrinking. Could also be used for cheaper "skype out" international calling from a cell phone.

Start a chestnut tree wood farm.
Wormy Chesnut is about as rare as hen's teeth.
In the south, heart pine is selling for 8-10 per board foot because it is a good hard pine that comes from trees that cannot be harvested, they almost went extinct. Chestnut has been extinct since the 1930s and what made the wood "wormy" is what caused its extinction.
... it would sell for $15 per board foot to $20. A board foot is 1 inch thick x 1 foot wide, by 1 foot long ...
... I would pay $15 a foot for it if there was enough to do my living room which is quite large.

Push Cellphone Dial Tone Into House Phone Wiring
Smartphone bases that contain charging readily exist. An add-on or new base to allow pushing the phone line (with caller ID) into existing house wiring to allow use of all house phones.
Could just be a specialized bluetooth phone that permanently plugs into power and house phone wiring. When smartphone is near, the bluetooth will take control and push dial tone into home wiring.
Potential customers:
1) people with a house full of phones that don't yet want to cut off land line
2) those with sketchy cell reception in some areas of house that could place device in good location
A dedicated skype phone could be used, in addition to a smartphone.
