They know the start/end of the flight, the seating class, and the frequent flier demographics for that seat occupant.  They also know which show is being watched.

Insert ads into the TV stream for Directv on Jetblue and other airlines.

Sell ads before the flight leaves.  If the ads were shown to that seat, bill the ad purchaser.
